Rosario Velazquez is Thee Lois Lane! This soft-spoken reporter only conveys a gentle persuasion when she’s not interviewing. As voraciously avid for a good story as her comic character alias, she handles the red carpet with the best of ‘em and ALWAYS gets her point across. While some are raving interests, Lois is on the scene making sure she gets the story behind the verses. More inquisitive than a P.O., getting down to the nitty gritty is what she’s all about, and there is no telling what she’ll have an artist confessing. Make sure you check out her Ode to Hip Hop as well as her one-on-one sit downs regularly on Roll Tape. |

Liz: This outgoing Latina is pretty sure of herself. “I believe I can be great at anything I apply myself to do”, states Liz. “I’m very open minded on everyday dilemas and why they may happen, that’s why I love giving advice on Love and Life. My friends and family never hesitate to talk to me about anything going on in their lives and always ask, “what would i do in that situation”? I’m here to listen and help with all your Drama!” Check her one-of-a-kind advice at Love & Life. |

Nyoka Acevedo: Born in el barrio aka Spanish Harlem and raised in the Bronx, Nyoka is an educator, occasional activist and your regular around the way homegirl. Nyoka can be found politicking with the neighborhood knuckleheads about the need for self-determination or teaching young women to be the change they want to see in the world. Contributing to the Mío section helped her to rediscover her love for writing. |

Grand Design: This music producer/emcee out of the Steel City has been calling the Rotten Apple home for 10 years now. He use to hustle but now he relaxes and strives, when he was young he was a fan of the Jackson 5. Genuine like Gucci, raw like sushi, a stage of rage is what rap did to him. He was a fiend before he became a teen, so he’s got a bad habit similar to the girl from She’s Gotta Have It. Those of you fakin’ the funk, beware of the tall light-skin brother with dimples, wearing a black Kangol, sweatshirt, gold chain and sneakers. Last seen on Castle Hill in the East. They call him Jaws, his hat is like a shark’s fin and he’s notorious he’ll crush you like a jellybean. Check his Snoop Dogg retrospective in Roll Tape as well as Crushes galore in Más. |

Orlando Gonzalez: Mr. Gonzalez has been down since our inception and has shot everything from fashion shoots to foodie pics for us. This time he brought his considerable talents to the table for the Golden Arms Workout. “That’s a pretty tough routine”, was all he kept saying. With an eye for the visuals, he makes sure that everyone is always laced correct. He also brought that artistic eye to Más, with a look at the Murakami exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. |

SK: If there are two things this young music producer oozes, its talent mixed with a healthy dose of humbleness. Having been in the production game for the past 5 years as a part of Truesoundz, SK and his mates have worked with Swizz Beats, P. Diddy and David Anthony. Check the Truesoundz movement on Latino Confidential. |

Mrs. P: “Screw the resort food” says Mrs. P of what some folks refer to as Dominican fare. “The real taste of the country is away from the tourist locations”, she insists. Hailing from Ecuador, this Latina has been heating kitchens with her pan-Latino servings throughout the five boroughs for most of her life. “Great cuisine doesn’t always have to be haúte or flamboyant. Sometimes all you need is a good eye and whatever you can get your hands on”. |

Aisha Gomez, Latina Fashionista: “We need to get this done” is pretty much this go-getter’s mantra. Whenever she’s not flying off to a trade show halfway around the world, she’s hittin’ the runways at Bryant Park. If she’s not catching a collection in Hong Kong, Aisha can be found pretty much bossin’ everyone around. And we like it that way. This installment, she hits the NYC leg of Dunk XChange, the mecca for sneaker-head nation. |

Ernesto Johnson: As thought provoking as he is musical, Mr. Johnson confides that, “ever since I was a kid, I always wanted to play an instrument”. Apart from his now-legendary Sole Inspiration sneaker events, Mr. Johnson DJ’s skills (where he goes by the moniker Dj Ness Digi) have garned him a following in the NYC metro area. Mr. Johnson wrote the “Is Ethnic Hair Beautiful?” piece for this edition of Más. |
